In Gadsden County leaders are trying to improve the quality of life for area residents, by improving their health. Dozens of Havanna residents turned out for the Community Health Survey, at The Shephard's Hand Resource Center.
The event aimed to heighten the awareness of health issues by giving health screenings and helpful information. Targeting cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
The health survey is a pilot program funded by the Department of Health. Florida State University's School of Nursing is in charge of giving the screenings.
