UPDATED 1:13 PM 8/13/08:

A woman who was asked to leave a Kentucky mall because she was wearing a short dress is fighting back, she has now hired an attorney.

The 20 year old woman says because of the incident she's been overwhelmed by media attention in the past few days.

Kymberly Clem claims that on Saturday (8/9) she was escorted out of the Richmond Mall by a security guard who said her dress was too short and provocative.

Clem says the guard had no right to do that.

Clem is a sophomore at Eastern Kentucky University majoring in criminal justice.

Her attorney says she starts classes in a few days and is suddenly finding herself all over the Internet, television and radio.

Clem says, "I've had a lot of phone calls. Had to unplug my phone a couple of times. However, I do feel like it's definitely worth it, my point that I'm trying to make."

Clem says she wants an apology.

She says she's contacted the mall about what happened and hasn't received a response.

But that mall is talking to the media.

A spokesperson tells one tv station Clem's dress was actually a shirt meant to be worn with pants.

Clem disagrees.

She says she's no longer comfortable wearing the dress and hopes to auction it off for charity.

Kymberly Clem claims that on Saturday she was escorted out of the Richmond Mall by a security guard. "I was walking through and 10 minutes after I was there, the security guard approached me, asked me to step aside, made me completely do a turn around while he stared me up and down and then asked me to leave because my outfit was too provocative and people's husbands was (sic) looking at me," says Clem.

Clem says she bought the dress at the mall just the day before. She says she's worn more revealing clothing before to the mall, but this is the first time she's been kicked out. Clem says the guard had no right to do that.

Well, ranee, I've found that people who dress provocatively often do so because their body--not their mind--is their primary asset. Women don't wear short skirts to send out a message that says, "Hey, I've got a great personality and am really intelligent!" They wear them to send out a message that says, "Hey, I've got a great body! Look it it! Unless you're an old or ugly guy, in which case gross--quit staring at me!"

I am in no way trying to slam the people from Ky However to be honest most of the people I have ever met from Ky seemed to be a few nuggets short of a happy meal.they are nice people friendly and all that other stuff but their mentality level seems kinda slow
