Tallahassee Police say most areas in northeast Tallahassee now have power.
TPD Spokesperson David McCraine said, "There are a few spots here and there without power, but they are not sure of the exact location."
Officials say many areas will soon have power fully restored.
3,000 Tallahassee Utilities customers are without power.
Tallahassee Police Officer David McCranie says most of the residents affected live in the northeast portion of Tallahassee.
The electricity went out at about 12:30 this afternoon.
Crews are en route to fix the outage.
Police want to remind drivers to treat all red light intersections as four-way stops when there is no electricity.
McCranie says he believes the power will be working soon.
