FCAT in Madison and Gadsden

Madison County school officials say students there show marked improvement. Gadsden County officials are also seeing great results and hope to see success at all their schools.

Madison Superintendent Lou Miller said, "We worked really hard in Madison County. We had some fantastic efforts from teachers, the students really performed well and we've made double digits gains in reading."

Gadsden County Superintendent Reginald James said, "Stewart Street scores, as well as St. Johns and Greensboro, have improved. We'll take a good look at them today and hopefully we'll feel good about everybody."

Gov. Bush says overall third grade students are reading at or above their grade level, saying this year minority students broke records on tests.
