Big things are happening in the small town of Havana!

In a matter of just a few months, residents there will have a brand new library.

Not only will they have a brand new high tech library, this Library will give Havana, the town once voted best small town in America, even more bragging rights.

There's a library building for sale in Havana Florida. Just up and around the corner, there's a brand new library, being constructed.

It’s the first library building ever built in Gadsden County and the residents of Havana are couldn't be happier.

"Oh Thrilled! It’s going to be bigger and better,” says Assistant Librarian Joyce Saccio.

Even though City Manager Susan Freiden can see the final product, she says there's still some more work to be done and more money to be raised.

"Its being well received, and you'll be able to tell from the citizens at the Fish Fry, April 17,” Freiden says.

"We have the inside and any furnishings, and computers and book that aren't there now,” comments Havana Police Chief Brian Mitchell.

Weather permitting the library should be done and opened sometime in mid June.

The funding for the new library is coming from three places, a state grant, a loan from the town of Havana and lots of fund-raisers done by the citizens.
