Grisham Visits Tallahassee

John Grisham was at the Leon County Civic Center sharing stories while raising funds for local libraries.

It was a bookworms dream, getting a first hand look at the master behind your favorite collection.

"I’ve seen him on T.V. but its different when you see him in person,” says fan Ray Bardill.

"I think that I’ve led a very dull life as a lawyer and a judge when I read his books,” Major B. Harding says.

World-renowned author John Grisham visited Tallahassee Wednesday, giving fans a glimpse at his life.

"It’s a pleasure and a to be here and say a few words and also to see your baseball stadium,” Grisham says.

It's true, America’s pastime is Grisham's secret passion, but this writing legend was in town on too. He’s raising money for the Leon County Library.

Judging by Grisham's fanfare, this year's event may break records. The friends of the Leroy Collins Leon County Public Library sponsored the event.

All funds received will go towards the library's yearly collection of books and materials.
