So far it's been a safe prom season and one high school principal wants it to stay that way by using tactics to deter students from drinking and driving on prom night.
Principal Rocky Hanna says he wanted students to see first hand the consequences of irresponsible driving. This was emotional for some, but students say it made its point.
School administrators furthered Principal Hanna's message by wearing tuxedos to school Thursday, hoping students will keep safety in mind during next Saturday’s prom.
Students were asked to make a pledge to not drink and drive by signing the "Prom Promise."
