The Miami based International Design and Display Group is relocating to Thomasville. The announcement came during Gov. Perdue's appearance at the Thomasville Rotary Club.
The company will spend more than $1 million to renovate their future downtown office on Stevens Street.
Ian Quinton, owner of International Design and Display Group, said, "By the time we have purchased the balance of the city lot bounded by Oak Street and Jefferson Street and Jackson, plus the re-addition of a building to the site, the total investment will probably be between 1.3 and 1.4 million dollars."
Gov. Sonny Perdue said, "They're hurricane weary and we're seeing they're loving this part of Georgia. It's close to what they've known of, but they're coming back to a pro-business climate here in Georgia and we're seeing a lot of interest from Florida companies."
The International Design and Display Group builds trade show and corporate exhibits along with corporate real estate interiors. The company hopes to open their doors this fall.
