Law enforcement officials in Gadsden County say a new addition to the community has made things a lot safer.
In December Florida Highway Patrol trainees made their new home at the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement.
Authorities in Gadsden County says their presence really comes in handy, especially when assistance is needed in major accidents and crime scenes.
“They are a valuable resource, and we are glad to be of assistance if we can ever be of assistance to the local agencies here," said Chief Sylvester Dawson of FHP's Training Academy.
Chief Dawson says in the past, recruits have helped tracked down important evidence like bullet fragments near crimes scene.
