Valdosta, GA - Residents of Valdosta know that spring may come with some rain, but it also means the annual Spring Into Art Show.

The Annette Howell Turner Center For The Arts hosted the 27th annual Spring Into Art Exhibiton. Artists and art enthusiasts from across the South East braved the rain for great food, great company, and great art. Over 500 pieces of art were submitted this year by 280 artists -- a record for the event.

"Every year it gets better and better, and this year, 2014, is no exception. Even though mother nature did not exactly cooperate with us tonight, and we're a little disappointed about that, because of the record number of artists and entries we have, we also expect a record number of attendees", says Cheryl Oliver, Executive Director for the Center.

Oliver says what is interesting about the gala is that the art comes from both professionals and amateur. She also says this is the center's biggest art show and sale of the year.
