Leon County Sheriff's Detectives say at this point, the autopsy results are not showing any definitive cause of death. However, they are not ruling out foul play.
A neighbor found 46-year-old William Hilton lying on the front porch of his Wren Drive home early Sunday morning but didn't report it until they saw him in the same place hours later.
The death was ruled suspicious because of the injuries found on his body, and to their knowledge, he suffered from no pre-existing medical conditions.
Investigators are hoping that more answers will come once the toxicology and blood results come back. That could take several weeks.
If this case is determined to be a homicide, it will become the second murder investigation for the Leon County Sheriff's Office this year.
An investigation is ongoing into who killed 39-year-old Darhyl Martin. He collapsed and died in front of a deputy last month at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Old Bainbridge.
