The Southeastern Community Blood Center is upping the ante for those who donate blood this month.
The center is experiencing a severe shortage of A-Negative and O-negative blood supplies.
It's calling on individuals to help boost the center's blood supply.
In exchange, each donor in September will be entered to win a laptop computer.
In the aftermath of tropical storm Fay, the S-C-B-C was forced to cancel numerous blood drives due to flooding concerns.
Those unexpected changes hindered the center's ability to keep the blood supply at a level high enough to meet the demands of hospital patients within the community.
