Tallahassee police chief Walt McNeil spent the day on Capitol Hill.
He and other law enforcement executives from across the country met with senators and representatives to drive home their concerns.
One of those is homeland security. The International Association of Chiefs of Police says it strongly supports the fight against terrorism. But it believes local agencies should be a big part of that fight--getting anti-terrorism training and funding.
The group also opposes any weakening of concealed weapons laws.
