Greensboro Mayor Buddy Pitts says the city has received a $600,000 grant. The majority of the money is slated for major road improvements.
Pitts says because of a lack of the funding, the city's 600 plus residents have suffered poor drainage and bumpy roads.
Plans are also in the works for additions to the city's playground, including a new picnic area and bandstand for large events.
