Official Release of Public Information from Leon County Sheriff's Office:

At approximately 12:30AM, this morning, Leon County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the 8000 block of Blackjack Road, in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival to the residence, deputies were told three males, one armed with a shotgun, entered the residence and fired a shot at a 27-yr-old male subject as he tried to flee out the back door.

Reportedly after the man fled, so did the three male suspects. The male subject that fled the residence was not on scene as deputies interviewed two subjects who were in the residence at the time of this incident. As deputies conducted their investigation, the subject that fled the residence returned to the scene with a gun shot wound to his lower left leg. His wound was non-life threatening but he was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The subject that was shot and the two subjects in the residence at the time of this shooting were only able to provide a general description of the suspects as three black males, 5’10”, 150lbs, wearing all black and black masks. They were also unable to provide any information as to a possible motive; however, drug paraphernalia was found in the residence.

Violent Crimes Detectives are investigating and ask anybody that may have information about this incident to please contact the Leon County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 922-3300 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS (8477). Remember, Crime Stoppers does not want your name, just your information. You could be eligible for a reward of up to $1000.

To Get Involved, there isn't much that we can do in regards to the crack houses. Law Enforcement knows where the crack houses are, and even who the dealers are, but there is nothing being done. As for it being blacks; it's not all blacks. I know many white people that have been in those crack houses. There are probably 20 crack houses within a 5 mile radius there, but LE doesn't do anything at all about it. I am one that back LE, but in this case, they do not care about the crack dealers dealing right there on the streets around Oak Ridge Road.

Our LEO's hands are tied when it comes to taking these punks down. Because of some of you and your loud mouthed liberal bias and hatred for our local police and basically just the right thing, you have created laws that hampers our police from actually helping our communities. You have no problem when our LEO's hold roadblocks and check for drunk drivers. In the same instance if our LEO's start pulling over "the usual" suspects trying to get these crackbabies off the street you sniveling pukes call racism and tie the hands of the men and women that want to make a difference. When does the safety of the public become more important than the rights of these methmouthcrackheads that are robbing stealing killing and carjacking law abiding Americans? How many more stores and pizza drivers and home invasions have to happen before the good peoples rights trump the rights of possible thugs? Protect and serve or get out of the way and let people who want to do the right thing regulate. WAKE UP!

How do you feel about President Obama's handling of the economy?

He's doing a great job
He's doing a fair job
He's doing a poor job

President Obama heads to Cleveland, Ohio Wednesday to announce a series of measures he hopes will help jump start the economy. He'll propose letting businesses write off all their new investments in plant and equipment through 2011. According to the New York Times, the President also hopes to help consumers by extending Bush-era tax cuts for families earning less than 250,000 dollars a year. But he will rule out any compromise that would extend the tax cuts for the wealthy.
