There’s more talk concerning faculty pay raises at our local university lab schools.

Florida A&M University trustee R.B. Holmes has pledged his support for the two percent pay raises at FAMU's Developmental Research School.

Meanwhile, Jesse Jackson, director of Florida High, says faculty members have already turned in their list of recommendations.

"We look forward to entering into this process and really getting it done quickly. We want our faculty and staff to know well in advance the wonderful things that we are going to try to make it happen for them," says Jackson.

"As a trustee, I am going to be extremely supportive of trying to get the two percent raise to the faculty of FAMU," says Holmes, who hopes the pay raise issue can be resolved between now and the next trustee meeting, which is set for late June.
