As volunteers and victims continue to clean up after last month's tornado, Georgia's Emergency Management agency is just getting started with it's Victim Funding Assistance Program.
Applications for state disaster housing assistance for victims are now being accepted throughout the week.
Tornado damage in both Mitchell and Worth counties is estimated in the millions
Ella Edwards- who lost everything- says she appreciates any help she can get.
"People are practically cutting down trees and taking things from my yard, it's wonderful to see so many care to come help," Edwards said.
The state of Georgia is funding the program to provide temporary housing support for eligible victims.
State disaster assistance is also available to those eligible victims who do not have adequate insurance to cover damage or additional living expenses.
