Florida's capitol was showered with garnet and gold Wednesday as Florida State University made its presence known.

Faithful were in the Senate chambers and the rotunda with about 50 booths displaying university programs.

The Marching Chiefs and FSU Circus also entertained legislators and supporters. At the event, President T.K. Wetherell commented about his battle with prostate cancer.

FSU celebrities such as Tampa Bay Buccaneer Derrick Brooks were on hand to sign autographs. FSU leaders say the overall goal of the day is to show legislators the importance of funding.
