Friday night is another Downtown Get Down, and some local organizations will be adding green to the city.
They're celebrating National Parking Day at the Get Down.
Tallahassee's Trust for Public Land will be turning 11 parking spots downtown into mini parks.
Each Parking spot will have a theme, and groups will decorate their lot complete with sod, flowers, and even park benches for locals to check out and enjoy.
"Creating little, little parks all up and down College Avenue right here, Little oasis, where people can come and sit and relax for a little while, in between listening to the music, and seeing all the festivities going on downtown," said Anne Nelson, Trust for Public Land.
National Parking Day was first started 4years ago in San Francisco, as a day to celebrate nature and greenery in cities.
The Trust for Public Land says that bringing in nature and parks within cities provides a great space for community involvement.
Some parking spots tonight will even feature mini playgrounds inside the lots, and the organization invites everyone to come check out the creations.
