A brush fire Thursday morning sent a blanket of smoke over Killearn Lakes.
Flames spread through the woods off Waters Meet Drive with homes just a few hundred feet away.
Firefighters say it appears an abandoned camp fire jumped its bounds. You can see charred chairs and a tent in the midst of it all.
Lt. Willie Dickey says firefighters were quickly able to contain the fire and then brought in hoses to squelch the flames.
There’s no word on whose camp site it may be, but firefighters suspect it may have been teenagers because they found a scorched iPod on scene.
