With just a click of the mouse the Parent Link computer system will leave a message for parents at their home.
School officials say this new system beats the old way of sending home a written letter.
"Parent Link" notifies parents of a variety of school related information, including if a child skips schools or has a poor attendance record.
Dr. James Brown explained, "It will be used for emergencies, when report cards are distributed, for parent meetings, anything related to parents where we need to send out a mass notification."
Brown says in the past they relied on the media to get the word out in emergency situations. Now this computer program is a better way to reach parents right away.
