With kids out of school, many parents are left scrambling to find something to keep their children busy.
Helping with that dilemma, the Thomasville Police Department has kicked off its summer program, Safe-T-Ville.
Tuesday, children learned firsthand bicycle safety from officers with the Thomasville Bike Unit. Officers say it's just the right amount of education and fun for the summer time.
SGT Steven Belvin said, "We do a ride with them and we enforce the program with them, all the hand signals, and watching all the signs and stuff. Trying to teach them some bicycle safety so when they're out and about in the neighborhood they're more aware."
The Thomasville Police Department will continue to offer safety programs until June 15.
