An elections controversy at FAMU is brewing over the university's next student body president.
Wednesday the student Supreme Court struck down an appeal made by popular candidate Larry Rivers. And now the fight is headed even higher.
Although Fivers won the race, he has yet to be named president. The candidate says the electoral commission says he violated a rule. Apparently, one of River's campaign workers was seen wearing a Larry Rivers T-shirt in an area deemed unauthorized for campaigning.
Thursday, Rivers filed a notice of appeal to the president of the university. Student Supreme Court officials have not yet returned calls on the matter.
