3 Arrested For Burglary In Madison County

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Thursday night March 13, 2014 at 11:26 pm deputies of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence located on Short Street in Greenville to a reported Burglary and Theft that had just occurred. Upon arrival, deputies interviewed the victim and were informed that as the victim returned home three males were observed exiting the residence carrying the victim’s flat screen television. When the three men recognized the victim was arriving home, they quickly fled on foot with the television. The victim was able to recognize two of the men and gave a detailed description of all three. Deputies were familiar with the two of the three suspects from previous incidents.

Deputies processed the residence as other deputies attempted to locate the three suspects. Investigation showed that the suspects gained entry into the victim’s residence by kicking the door in causing the deadbolt and doorknob to fail.

A short time later deputies located the suspects a few blocks away still wearing the clothing described by the victim. The suspects were identified as Cedrick Brown, 20, Laterrius Davis, 19 and Brice Hamilton, 19. All three men were arrested without incident and transported to the Madison County Jail. At the time of arrest Davis was found to have marijuana in his possession however the television has not been recovered.
