A somber day in the nation's capital Tuesday. Several members of our armed forces were given military funerals at Arlington National Cemetery, including Moody Air Force Base Airman.
A light rain was falling as family and friends of SSgt. Jason Hicks arrived at the cemetery Tuesday morning. The 25-year-old Hicks was one of six members of the 38th and 41st Rescue Squadrons at Moody Air Force Base, who were killed in a helicopter crash last month in Afghanistan.
They were on a medical evacuation mission when their chopper went down. A 21-gun salute, and a helicopter flyover, as well as the presentation of the American Flag, marked the full military funeral.
