A deadly crash on the slick streets of Tallahassee Tuesday afternoon was perhaps Alberto's only fatality.
It claimed the life of 26-year-old Christina Frances and shut down a stretch of Thomasville Road for more than three hours.
An LCSO spokesman says it appears Frances was headed southbound when she lost control of her Ford Explorer. It wound up in the northbound lane, was struck by two other cars and was ultimately pinned against a utility pole.
Her husband, in the car with her, survived and no one else was seriously hurt.
Frances was a nurse at Capital Regional Medical Center.
