Trees Down in Tallahassee

Tallahassee escaped Alberto relatively unscathed with just a few minor power outages and a couple dozen trees felled by the wind and rain.

On Riddle Court, a pine fell right on top of Mike Bergstrom's car.

He says he heard the crack and crash about 1:30 Tuesday morning, only to discover his Toyota Camry crushed with its front and back windshields smashed out.

Mike Bergstrom, whose car was crushed by a tree, says, "It was a pain to get out and get the tarp on the top of it during the storm, so it was a lot."

And this isn't the first time it's happened.

"No. No it's not. This happened 18 months ago. This is the second time. Last time it hit my truck. It's a big inconvenience, but at least my family is okay."

Beyond the fallen trees and downed power lines, Leon County Emergency Management Chief Richard Smith says Leon County didn't suffer any serious storm damage or flooding.
