Tragedy strikes a Tallahassee family twice as a man is killed in a car wreck two weeks to the day after his son suffered the same fate.
Just last week, Steven Riles buried his son. Friday morning ... he lost his own life behind the wheel.
"It's just almost unthinkable that this kind of tragedy would come twice to the same family within a two week period of time," said North Florida Baptist Pastor Randy Ray who spoke at Taylor Riles funeral last week.
Steven Riles died Friday morning just after eight when his pick up struck a utility pole near the corner of Blairstone and Centerville.
The medical examiner says it was a medical condition, not the crash, that killed him.
He was 45.
It happened two weeks to the day after Steven's son, Taylor and Taylor's fiance, were killed in a collision with a semi on Mahan Drive.
The Riles - mother Sherie and two sons, Randy and Cody who both attend North Florida Christian - must now prepare for another funeral.
"There's something of God's love and wisdom in this tragedy that we don't understand, and we really don't understand it. There's no way to explain this to a young person. There's no way to explain this to a wife or parents or grandparents," Ray said.
The Riles' son Randy plays football for North Florida Christian.
A special prayer and collection will be offered up for his family at tonight's game against University Christian.
A fund has also been set up for the family at Premier Bank.
You can make donations at any branch or mail them to The Riles Family Fund, C/o Premier Bank, 3110 Capital Circle Northeast, Tallahassee, Florida 32308

Tragedy strikes a Tallahassee family twice as a car crash claims the life of a father...just two weeks after another accident claimed the life of his son.
It happened at about 8 this morning near the intersection of Blair Stone and Centerville Road.
Tallahassee Police say 45 year old Steven Riles died after his
pick-up truck veered off the road and struck a utility pole.
A TPD Spokesman says it appears Riles suffered some sort of medical emergency before the crash, but they are still investigating.
Riles is the father of 18 year old Taylor Riles, who was buried just last week after he and his fiance were killed in a collision with a semi-truck on Mahan Drive.
