9 Year Old Boy Struck By Vehicle
This morning, (10/14) around 7:30 a.m., the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a traffic crash near the intersection of Laura Lee Avenue and South Monroe Street.

TPD News Release:
This morning, (10/14) around 7:30 a.m., the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a traffic crash near the intersection of Laura Lee Avenue and South Monroe Street.
A black 2005 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 50-year-old Elmer Cassidy, was traveling northbound on South Monroe Street and struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, third-grader Trayver Johnson, was struck as he darted across the street.
The child was not seriously injured and he was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.
The investigation continues and no charges have been filed.
The crash was not alcohol related.

get a life raw!!! Children are prone to take risks no matter how much a parent teaches them
Its sad when these so called parents refuse to teach their kids simple life saving skills like looking both ways when crossing a road or swimming. The parents need to be thrown into jail for blatant negligence!
