Golfing to Help Homeless Animals

Win $25,000 and help out homeless critters in Gadsden County! That's what golfers had a chance to do Saturday morning at a golf tournament at the Quincy Golf Club.

Fifteen teams competed for top honors while also helping to raise money for the Gadsden County Humane Society.

"We have a real problem with homeless animals so, and we don't have a facility. We receive no outside funding. All of our animals are with fosters and this money will go toward vet bills and feeding them," said Nancy Gress, the tournament organizer.

WCTV's very own Rob Nucatola and Elton Gumbel took a swing in the tourney. Neither won the 25 grand, but there's always next year.
