Tallahassee police arrest an employee at the burger joint who they say overcharged several customers.
Eighteen-year-old Shareka Williams is under arrest after police say she double swiped customers’ debit cards at the drive-in window and in the restaurant on North Monroe Street.
Police reports say the restaurant was tipped off after several customers complained of unnecessary charges.
"What the employee would do is then take the money that they overcharged and pocket that money where it wouldn't seem like Whataburger was losing money," said OFC John Newland with the Tallahassee Police Department.
Williams is charged with credit card fraud. Police records show she admitted to duping at least four customers.
