Hundreds came out to say a final farewell to a Gadsden County doctor who touched so many lives.
The National Guard Armory in Quincy was filled to capacity with mourners who came to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Jessie Furlow.
Furlow died Saturday after an extended illness. The stirring funeral service was a joyful celebration filled with gospel songs honoring a woman residents say was a trusted leader and a shining example of mankind.
Mourners say Dr. Furlow was a role model in the community and a living testimony to those who loved and worked with her.
Furlow was 57 years old.
