Tallahassee's buses are going high-tech, the first in the country to use a new fare box system.
It's not just any fare box system; all are Smart Card and GPS enabled.
Come this fall you'll be able to find out where your bus is and when the next one is coming.
Ron Garrison, Executive Director of StarMetro, said, "We'll be able to give customers real time information at selected stops, satellite centers and on the Web where the buses are, if it's on time, running a little bit late; you'll be able to get information on your cell phones, PDAs, via e-mail."
Customers will also be able to make automatic transfers for fares. Wireless Internetis also on the way!
