The fireworks have popped and the celebration is over. Now it's time to clean up.
Inmates with the Leon County Jail spent Wednesday picking up what others left behind: Trash, trash, and more trash.
Tuesday, thousands made their way to Tom Brown Park for the annual Fourth of July bash. Mario Palmentieri with Tallahassee Parks and Recreation says the trash isn't as bad as it could have been thanks to some 80 trash cans set up around the park. He says it's a good idea that those who came out get to hear about this side of the event, too.
Overall, event coordinators say Tuesday’s celebration was a big hit.
