Georgia's Voter ID Law Put on Hold

In issuing a restraining order, an Atlanta judge says lawmakers have no authority to enforce the law, and that it would take an amendment to the state Constitution.

The ruling comes less than two weeks before voters go to the polls for a primary.

The state did make ID cards available for those in need, but opponents say poor, elderly and minority voters would still wind up being kept away.
