Authorities say Melody Robinson is charged with a third degree felony of interfering with child custody after taking her baby from the hospital.
Officials say traces of cocaine were found in the baby's system and the state was going to take the baby from her.
Robinson's bond is set at $5,000 and she can have no contact with the child. She's also ordered to wear a GPS monitor, but her public defender requested another provision.
Robinson responded by saying, "I can't post bond unless I have a psychiatric evaluation."
The judge then said, "Yes, that has been requested and I have ordered that."
Robinson responded again, saying, "I don't need a psychological evaluation. I'm not crazy!"
Robinson's baby remains in the custody of the Department of Children and Families. Her next day in court is set for July 12.
