Skydiver Suspended by Electric Pole

Jeff Loflin of Fort Walton Beach was on his first solo dive with the School of Human Flight.

Loflin missed his landing mark and hit an electric pole by the Quincy Airport.

Witnesses say he was left hanging by his parachute equipment from the electric pole.

"At which time the power company disconnected the utilities. Gadsden County Fire actually lowered him from the utility pole," explained Tom Balboni, Lofin's skydiving instructor.

Witnesses say it appears Loflin's injuries are only minor.
