Child Unattended at Hotel Leads to Drug Bust

Tallahassee police say three adults were staying at the Colligate Inn on Tennessee Street and secured two rooms, with one for a three-year-old child.

Authorities say a housekeeper found the child wandering around, then alerted police. When officers arrived, they went into one of the rooms and found cocaine, cash and two guns.

The child's father, Robert Gilliam, had a warrant out for violation of probation and is now charged with possession of cocaine and of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The other person, Kajuanna Snell, is charged with possession of cocaine. The Department of Children and Families is investigating the child's mother for neglect.
