Georgia's Economic Outlook Is Bright

Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue says the state's economic outlook ranks first in the nation. That's a valiant leap from its 24th ranking back in 2002.

Gov. Perdue credits tax reductions and business growth as building blocks for economic growth.

Economists praise Georgia's decision to determine corporate income taxes based on sales alone, a decision made in 2005 saving businesses an estimated $100 million each year.
