Commuter Choices Week

Updated: Fri 6:03 PM, May 16, 2003

Some 900 drivers in Tallahassee are working to make a difference for traffic and pollution.

Friday, a breakfast at city hall marked the end of commuter choices week. The event recognized the efforts of hundreds of downtown commuters who've chosen to find a different way to get to work this week.

“Commuter choices week is intended to educate people about impacts of automobile traffic on air quality, traffic congestion, livability within community. That's our primary focus,” said Jeff Horton.

Participants used bicycles, carpools and mass transit options, or decided to telecommute for the week.
