Reform Party candidate Max Linn announced his candidacy for governor at the state Capitol.
Linn is from Treasure Island. He’s spent the past eight years involved with the Florida Citizens for Term Limits campaign.
He says he thinks he’s got a good shot because so many people are tired of what he calls "politics as usual."
“There has never been a time in my life when I have found so much discontent," says Linn. "With Republicans about Republicans, with Democrats about Democrats, and with civic organizations about the whole political process that has gone astray from our founding fathers’ vision.”
Linn faces a crowded field of at least 14 write-in, party-affiliated and non-party-affiliated candidates who have qualified for the race for governor.
The deadline to qualify is Friday, July 21 at noon.
