Gunpoint Robberies

A pair of pistol whipping robbers struck in Tallahassee Thursday night and may have struck twice.

The attacks took place on the northside within an hour of each other.

Deputies say two masked men approached a couple walking along Wiggington Road around 10:15, and when they didn't have any money they beat them over the head with a handgun.

Less than an hour later, the manager of a nearby Swifty Mart had to be hospitalized after he was robbed and pistol whipped by two masked men.

Deputies suspect the holdups are linked.
