A body found in Leon County turned out to be that of a missing man from Wacissa.
Late Thursday afternoon the Leon County Sheriff's Office confirmed the body is that of 36-year-old Tommy Brumbly, a Wacissa man who was last seen on Saturday. His truck was found that night on Highway 27 near Chaires with a flat tire and doors locked, but there was no sign of Brumbly.
After Thursday morning's autopsy, deputies ruled out foul play, but won't comment further on what killed Brumbly until toxicology reports are ready.
LCSO spokesman SGT Chris Chase said his death is no longer being investigated as a crime.
"We're hoping, through the autopsy and the investigation, to determine exactly how the deceased did pass," he said.
Brumbly's body was found Wednesday in a vacant lot off Highway 27 South. The sergeant in charge of the investigation says preliminary autopsy results do not indicate an exact cause of death or time of death, but he says any criminal review of the case is now closed.
