As dozens of area college students lined up to cut on their utility services Tuesday they expressed mixed opinions on whether it is best to rent or buy.
Though buying has its advantages through earning equity, many students avoid buying because they're unsure of future plans.
"If you plan on staying in town after finishing school it's probably a good idea to buy," said homeowner Emily Casey.
Dee Crumpler with Tallahassee Neighborhood and Community Services says Tallahassee is home to some 50,000 college students, combining Florida A&M, Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College.
