Family of Missing Man Still Hopeful Four Years Later

By  |

Tallahassee, FL - When Jessica Jackson was getting her master's, she wrote an essay about her missing loved one.

"I still harbor hope in the face of the unknown," she wrote.

David Jackson, her little brother, disappeared on October 28, 2008 at the age of 23. He still has yet to be found.

"His girlfriend called and said 'he didn't make it home' and I'm like okay well he'll be there, but then he wasn't," Jackson said.

David is one out of four siblings. He was a family-oriented man who often would visit Jackson and her daughter.

Jackson said four years later, it's still hard to believe he's missing.

"His birthday is in May, every October, those are months where it becomes painfully obvious to me that he's not here."

The family contacted Tallahassee Police to get an update. Police told them they have an officer in their cold case unit still searching for David.

The past few years, rumors went flying to his whereabouts and what may have happened to him, but nothing has panned out.

Jackson said good or bad, the family just wants to know the truth.

"We do still have hope that David is out there and he still can be found."

Back in 2008, police said foul play was not suspected in his disappearance.

Anyone who may have any information about David Jackson's disappearance is asked to call TPD.
