Moultrie Murder

A community is in shock this weekend after finding out their local preacher is behind bars for murder.

J.C. Harris is in the Colquitt County jail accused of murdering his wife and her estranged lover.

Authorities say Harris shot his wife and another man in the bedroom of their home early Saturday morning. Their 14-year-old son found the two bodies just hours after the shooting. Officers say Rachelle Harris kicked her husband out of their home the day before she was shot and killed.

Moultrie police investigators say they haven't pinned down a motive at this time. They say Harris faces two counts of first-degree murder.
