The voters demanded it, and Florida’s governor carried it through by signing a bill into law. Come July 1, the Florida Workplace Smoking Ban will go into effect. That means Florida restaurants are hustling.
It's only one week before the world of smokers will become a little bit smaller in the sunshine state. It's expected that most smoking sections in restaurants across the state will no longer exist.
There are a few exceptions, but for the next week, those who will have to enforce the new law are getting ready.
Smoking will still be allowed in designated rooms in hotels and motels, stand alone bars and home businesses that don't provide health or child care.
