Updated: Tue 7:09 PM, Jun 24, 2003

The sparkling clean water in Madison County has become gold for a community in desperate need of an economic boost.

Tuesday, Nestle Waters held the official groundbreaking for its newest plant. Drawing water from Blue Spring, the plant will be up and running early next year. Once fully operational, the facility will bottle 60 million cases of water and bring 200-300 jobs to Madison County.

"You hire 300 people in three to five years in a community like this you more than 100 fold this you more than 100 fold increase your payroll and get people to work you increase your economic advantage. It's tremendous," says Keith Mixon, Madison County Development Council.

The 300,000 gallons of water that will be bottled every day at the Madison plant will be sold under the brands of Deer Park and Zephryhills.
