Leon County School Superintendent, Bill Montford, announced that Leon County schools have successfully bonded a portion of the sales tax at less than three percent interest rate.

Also, $61 million has been deposited for future improvements.

Those in charge of the construction and improvements say that 80 percent of all the money will go to existing schools.

Sabal Palm Elementary, Griffin, Nimms and Raa Middle Schools are just some of the schools slated to see improvements starting this summer.
