Children Returned Safely

Two children snatched from their grandmother's Miramar, Florida home were found safe Monday night at a panhandle motel.

Three-year-old Lorena Montano and two-year-old Moises Montano were found in a motel in Bonifay, and the children's mother, 32-year-old Nora Montano, was arrested.

The children were taken from their grandmother's home early Monday when Montano drove a car through the rear sliding glass door. Montano and a man wearing camouflage and a ski mask rushed into the home, fought with the grandmother and an aunt, and then made off with the kids.

"It did take us by surprise it did happen in the middle of the night we awoke to big loud sound and it just happened quite honestly in less than a minute. It was probably 60 seconds," says Karla Sarria, aunt.

The children's biological father was detained for questioning. Charges of kidnapping and robbery home invasion are pending against Nora Montano who is said to suffer from bipolar disorder.
